September 1 2023 Notary Rate Change

New Notary Rates

The rates (per signature, certificate, etc.,) vary by state. Texas has approved a rate increase (HB255). The rate increases to $10 effective September 1, 2023. Other changes are shown in the state markup shown below, including a change about what can be recorded in the journal. Effective September 1, 2023, the notary is allowed to record the expiration date of the ID presented. The full bill is not displayed in the graphic but is shown here.

It is important to note that the notary fees don’t include travel fees when a notary travels to you. Our travel fees will increase (minimum $65) on September 1, 2023 as well.
